CHAPEL

TCHS is non-denominational. Students attend chapel on campus every Wednesday. In addition to the opportunity of student-led worship, our students are guided by local pastors, guest speakers, faculty, and visiting missionaries. Students may also break into smaller groups (life groups) for Bible study and discussion led by a faculty member or with senior, small-group leaders. Chapel time is also used to pray each week for each of our senior students as well as any special prayer needs of our school, students, faculty, and families.

CALVARY CHAOS

Each year at the end of the first week of school, the TCHS student government hosts Calvary Chaos. This special afternoon celebrates our school’s origin as Calvary Christian High School as well as providing our entire student body the opportunity to interact and bond with one another through fun activities, games, and food!

CAMP KOINONIA

Every fall in the week after Labor Day, the entire Trinity Christian student body and staff attend a 2-day retreat to a Christian camp located in the Santa Cruz mountains. Our goal for our students is to enhance their Christian growth by providing a life-changing experience through authentic and transformational speakers, experiential worship, team-building activities, exciting night games, small group discussion, a prayer walk, and restful times of reflection.

THANKSGIVING FEAST

Thanksgiving is celebrated as a day to give thanks to God for His gracious and sufficient provision. With the help from our student government and parent volunteers, students and staff come together in celebration of this holiday.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS WEEK

This special week during the Easter season allows our students to experience Chapel every day of the week. Significantly more time is dedicated to reaching our students for Christ through worship, messages, communion, and service. The week culminates with a baptism ceremony for all students that decide to make the commitment to follow Christ.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

All students participate in a variety of community service projects. 96 hours of community service are mandatory for graduation and requires twenty-four hours of service from every student for every year of attendance at the school. Most importantly, our students contribute thousands of hours of service each year significantly improving the lives of others by doing real work that meets the real needs of real people!

FLEx Wednesday Program

Students contribute thousands of hours of community service each year significantly improving the lives of others through the school’s FLEx Wednesday Program (Formational Learning Experiences). Every other Wednesday, instead of academic classes, students and staff spend three hours engaging in community service. FLEx provides the opportunity for students to engage in “real work that meets a real need for real people”

Through FLEx (Formational Learning Experiences), Trinity Christian students work in conjunction with City Impact in San Francisco, Samaritan’s Purse, the American Red Cross, the city of Pacific Grove, the New Monterey neighborhood, Meals on Wheels, Forest Hill Senor Center, Monterey Pines, local businesses, homeless ministry, etc...to show God's love for everyone through their actions.

CLUBS

Our students are encouraged to form clubs which meet during our long lunch periods. Clubs provide more opportunity for students to not only serve in additional leadership roles, but allow students of all grade levels to come together and form stronger bonds with one another. At Trinity Christian High School, it is these additional relationships that provide our students with a unique school culture.
