6th-8th Athletics

By participating in our athletic programs or as a member of a team, we believe that a student will be able to learn more about discipline, respect, teamwork, effort, commitment, and, most importantly, will grow in his or her faith. The focus of each of our athletic teams is to provide every student with an athletic experience that is unlike anything he or she will receive at a traditional middle school. An experience that is Christ-centered and will further help our students to be better equipped to go forth from our school and serve God.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  -2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV

A LETTER FROM THE TCS ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Because of our size, we usually only compete at the Varsity level, therefore every student can be on a team and fully participate in practice, but playing time in games may be severely limited and there are times when every player will not get to play. We have some sports, such as volleyball and basketball, that if we have enough participants, we are able to offer Junior Varsity teams. We also have some sports, such as cross country, track & field, and swimming, that every student will always get to play in the game, match, or meet. Coaches are committed to doing their very best to try and get as many players in the game as possible taking into consideration a multitude of variables.

By participating in our athletic program as a member of a team, we believe that a student will be able to learn more about discipline, respect, teamwork, effort, commitment, and, most importantly, will grow in his or her faith. The focus of each of our athletic teams is to provide every student with an athletic experience that is unlike anything he or she will receive at a traditional high school. An experience that is Christ-centered and will further help our students to be better equipped to go forth from our school and serve God.

Trinity Christian School provides a comprehensive, competitive athletic program with seventeen Varsity sports. As a Christian school, we provide every student the opportunity to join an athletic team. From a Christian perspective, every student can benefit from the gifts and talents of every other student; therefore, at our school we have no tryouts or cuts. We embrace the unique, God-given value of each one of our young men and women so every team at our school is inclusive. This does not mean, “everyone plays”. It does mean that every player will receive the same level of attention, time, compassion, and encouragement from all of our coaching staff. Every player and coach will be held accountable to the Biblical standards of attitude, effort, and behavior.
